With all due respect to the original post I find it ridiculous to determine metallurgy based on crap photos. Looks zinc to me, but then my sister in laws breast look original too.... But I like what I see.

Well, I'm just going to be a spectator on this one. I do however think that the font of the maker mark looks like an original, as does the hardware.
Nick, could you please post a photo of your sister in law as I think it is now pertinent to this thread?
