      Hello James

The Drivers badge looks to have a hardware set up found on post war 57er S&L examples. My opinion would be the it is a post war Drivers badge.

The Riders badge looks to be a good L.C. Lauer wartime example.

I am also of the opinion that round pin types are post war.

          James,
IMO badge OK. S&L badges has that round pin, catch probably was replaced.
          Here my original S&L badge.

            Hi Guys

S&L did produce wartime Reiter badges with a round pin. The Driver badge that Andrei posts is a wartime example IMO.

If you compare the hinge of the one James posted to the example from Andrei, you will see the difference. The one from James is a post 1945 S&L Driver badge.

Here is a Post War S&L tombak IAB with the same hardware set up as James Driver Badge.

            Best Regards, fischer
