    P&L tombac GAB

    Hi guys,

    I would like to show you my new tombac GAB made by Petz & Lorenz.

          Maybe some collectors are now able to tell the difference between a piece, which was slightly worn and well preserved (like this one), and an example, which was dipped in a cleansing fluid to make it look "minty"...

                I agree with that to some extent -unless the seller uses bright scans (or distant faded shots & such like) to hide the "cleaning". The crisp clear pictures below pretty much indicate this badge not to have been cleaned in a long while. Tarnish can return very quickly depending on the agent used too. Tarn-X may have more "staying" power than say BRASSO. Some things to consider...

                Anyway, another good piece for the collection Sven.

                            Looks awesome with tons of character. Just wondering, I think I have this same maker in tombak as well. Can it be found with more of the metal removed around the swaz and legs?
