    Is this a Wiedmann IAB?

I'm trying to be a little more proactive and do research before posting. I don't have any reference books yet and the only tool I have to use so far is the internet. In any case I've determined this IAB to be a Wiedmann. I believe it to be real but I think the hinge appears a little suspect. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

After comparing the hinge in the book, I think this hinge is original and has not been tampered with IMO.

            Hello Carl,

Yes, you are right. It's a good reference book by Sascha Weber.

IMO this hinge has not been tampered with.

              Hi Carl,

Good eye, this indeed is a Wiedmann.

Sascha's book is good, but not all variants are in there so it is best to use both the books and the WAF search function when studying your IABs.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                Hi Carl

Wiedmann has quite a distinctive design and easily recognisable from the reverse. Yours looks fine.

                best regards
                Graeme
