    Junker NS IAB

    Hello dear colleagues!

I want to show one of my favorite IABs - the Junker. It is my first, and I hope not last NS badge. This one holds about 80% of it's silver finish, and just slightly patinated. Actually, I love Junkers for their incredibly charismatic eagles and great detail.

    I hope you like it!

Very nice one Hedrich, well the other NS variants will be not easy to find, as far as I know Wiedmann and FLL made NS IABs except Juncker only.

        Hi Hans!

Indeed a nice one By the way, I do not mean it was easy to find. Honestly, I've not ever seen NS Wiedmann or FLL... Anyway, Junker's design is my favorite

          Hi Heydrich,

Congratulations on getting your first Juncker IAB, despite, IMO, they are quite common I never can get tired to see them. Furthermore yours looks to be in great condition

            Hi jordi!

Nice scan and wonderful grouping I like it very much.
You are lucky man, if you systematically meet such IABs for sale.

I've not seen many NS Junkers available to purchase for the past two years (In Russia of course). Excepting my, I remember just one ground dug - condition was - and that's all.

                  Hi Heydrich,

Great example, lovely condition with just the right amount of wear to it.

Here are my two early NS Junckers, the left with the white frosted finish and the right one was left unfinished.

That version is my favourite IAB of all!

Hi Thomas! Nice couple of Junkers

I've heard that unfinished NS IABs were the very first among others IAB badges, right?

I always wondered, why are they differ from each other? This NS IABs often have slightly different features in eagle's head, and it is hard to find an identical pair. Maybe this badges were modified manually on a factory after a standard manufacturing process?

Hi Andy! Your example also is very cool

There were modifications in the die as time went on. Also, the "recipe" on the nickel/brass (tombac) alloy varied, which contributes to the slight "changes". Interesting, they never did a tombac version of the bronze grade...
