    AGMuK Nahkampfspange Gold help needed..

    Hey Guys
few days ago I got this Nahkampfspange in Gold, it seems to be
just slightly worn, so the finish is rather excellent. What's your opinion
about it? I think the golden clasps are not that common, so could it be a fake
or has it a chance to be the real deal?
    Thank you in advance!

AGREED, one of the most common fakes out there.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thank you Guys! but whats the big give away? I have compared it
to other AGMuK clasps, I think this thing is really close! it's not like other fakes or reproductions I have seen so far? The material is zink, with an magnetic back plate, and the way it's made is also rather convincing, it feels very
authentic and it's definately old or at least a bit older, perhaps a fake of the 80's? I don't know..? Like I said, if holding this piece in hand, it feels like an original clasps, the details are also very clear and crisp..

              Hi,
I also agree with Tom a well known fake.
The eagles legs are too "hairy"
The swastika is not sharp detail and has casting flashes on the sides.
The acorns lack detail, as do the breast feathers.
On the reverse the telling details are covered on page 280 of Thomas Durante's book " The German Close Combat Clasp" well worth the investment, invaluable reference work.

Some may choose to ignore the past but they cannot erase the past.
