It looks to be an honest original, although I have a suspicion the main pin may have been assembled (ie, left the factory) with the underside to the topside compared to what I normally see.

I tend to agree with Mike here, this one is original. I like the look of the finish and the rivets also look correct, so I feel it is a good one IMO. The number plate must have been applied a little sloppily, but I think we see this from time to time with originals.
