Here are a IAB,PAB, and GAB for review? I cannot seem to find a match for the GAB in my files and the bayonet obverse seems funky? Opinions are welcome on these pieces. I know the photos are not the best but they are all the seller has provided so far.

    Thanks
    Steve

        Hi Steve,

All 3 are reproductions in my opinion.

The IAB is a common "zimmermann fake", seems to be pop up quite often the last 2 or 3 years.

The PAB is the well known "2 dot fake", but this one seems to be a little improved where they removed the 2 dots since that is what most collectors look for on them.

The GAB is a new one for me, but I am quite certain it is a fake based on the weird look of the base metal and the reverse hardware. The hardware is actually a good match to the fake IAB you posted, so possibly the same faker is responsible for both.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          Thanks Tom
The guy selling them said he purchased them recently at an antique shop in Germany! Not the best place to purchase badges. I kind of thought the PAB was questionable but thought the GAB might have a chance

          Cheers

The GAB has a lot of flaws clearly visible on the obverse (due probably to a casting process), an unknown set-up (very suspicious for a wartime badge) and a base metal wrong for me too.
I think this is a "new" fake.

                    Hi Steve

I believe that the GAB is based on an old hollow fake. Check out the 2nd leaf down on the left. It is deformed, and variations of hollow fakes all have this feature. And the reverse profile of this badge is very close to the hollows.

Can you please post this in the GAB fakes area.

3 fakes here. The GAB, based on S & Ls design. The fake tank assault, I've seen everywhere lately and is based on a combo of S&L and Juncker. The fake IAB is quite well done, and based on the Zimmermann or "MK design".
