    Cased 14th Panzer Division medal

    Hello,

I would like to hear your opinions about this wonderful piece.
It weights 18 gramm and has a thick at the border of exactly 4,1 millimetres.
Material should be aluminium and it isn't magnetic.
The trigger from the case isn't magnetic, too.

I don't doubt its authenticity but I'm pretty uncommon with its value. Maybe you can help with this set?

    Cheers, Banog

Very high quality Erinnerung "table medal", by Deschler (Post war?) regarding a "backbone" southern flanking unit that was wiped off the order of battle at Stalingrad. It was reformed in '43, fought hard up North, and cut-off in Kurland -with 2 tank brigades remaining in May '45.

I don't know about $1500 John. If you do a google on this piece, you'll find a few interesting threads. IMO, it's post war, but well made. $1500 no way. It's nice, but not that nice or even rare for that matter.

I wont comment on the site, but you can start it at $1500 and work your way down if you wish. That's all I have to say on this one.

I just found another one the same exact one for 400$ on another dealer site here in NY , I suppose it is one of those items where it will vary from one guys perspective on pricing from another .

I've seen them on German Ebay, over the years, for far less than that --and they don't sell like hotcakes either. I would agree with you, that the price is "in the eye of the Buyer" on this one. Just my last 2 cents.

I just want to clarify that these medals were NOT made post-war. These medals are well described by Kurt Klietmann and here is another proof i got with my cased set.

I have seen them for sale several times. I think 350€ would be a good market value.

Non the less, lovely set. Attractive table meda!

                      Table Medal.

The ones I come across normally sell from $300 to $500. It's an original wartime MFGR Table medal..

There was one listed on the e-stand last year. It started off at the price John mentioned and sat there through several markdowns untill it reached $500 I am not even sure if it finally sold for that price.
