It's an original zinc based, hollowback PAB. Probably later issue and by a maker that is not yet known, possibly Otto Schickle? Chet will know.

I agree an original, which for a long time has been referred to as a Mayer/F&R design.

          regards

I doubt if Chet will know, because this is another badge where the maker name is not known with any certainty.

            cheers

Thanks Greame. Only features that give any hint are the distinctive flat catch hook on a hollow, Vienna design type PAB. Is there a nickname? Or do we hold onto Mayer/Schickle?

Its a Mayer/Schickle at this point in my opinion.

Ken, this is not a Vienna maker design, just FYI.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks for the correction Tom. No chance on a "Vienna Design", since Pforzeim's in Germany and quite the hike from Vienna. Don't know why that rolled off my tongue...
