    Junker PAB, hinge question.

    Hi Guys,

I received this nice Junker PAB and like it very much.

I have a question regarding the hinge, is this type of hinge the later type as opposed to the hinge found on early Junker PABs with the shamffered corners?

As the photos show this is the larger hinge with the larger foot plate presumably to aid better adhesion to the badge.

I think you need to be a paying member. $25 for the year and will pay for itself after the first fake badge you avoid buying!

Not the earliest of the early, but a superb example of the nickel silver Juncker PAB, with the splayed-out hinge. No saw cuts visible at the top reverse eagle head, as the hinge was no longer saw-cut at this time. Also, the right headlamp lacks the indentations seen on the earliest ones. This is a finishless example in "mint" condition.

No problems here. A superb example from the top of the PAB food chain.

I have one just like it. This type sometimes has a silver finish applied to it. (Unknown as to why they would bother to apply a silver finish to a metal that is already silver in color).
As Ken stated this type was used later and wont be found with saw cuts.
