    Here are two GABs that I would like to better understand. The first two photographs are what I believe to be a silver tombak badge. Your opinions on both badges?.

      IMO two times the F&R-BH Mayer design. First one looks indeed Buntmetall. The second one has a differeny hardware? Wait for more opinions, I'm not that up to date with GAB's lately.

        Both look like Mayer's to me too. The left one's tombac based and the one to the right, zinc based. On the zinc one, there appears to be some excess solder from the initial weld to the splayed hinge, or possibly a repair? Without a 3/4 view on the hinge, it's hard to say.
