Gold and Bronze APBs for Review

    Hello all,

I feel very good about these specimens, but wanted to run them by our BKA / APB gurus to see if there are any issues.

    regards, Robert

    Hello Robert,
I think you are right to have a good feeling.
I would like to see more pictures but they look like Juncker badges to me.
They come with a nice group

Is there any chance of some close ups to confirm?
    All the best
    Doug

      Hi Robert,

I agree with Doug, this looks very promising. But lets see some more pics of both badges and the reverses, since there are some very good fakes of the Juncker APBs out there.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hi Robert,
This is a very tempting lot, I saw the other thread about the two lots,
I dont have a good feeling about the bronze one shown with the gold.
The eyes and the skull dont look good, I. Have a feeling that it could be a top notch fake.
        Just my 2 cents..
        Cheers
        Emil

IMHO the close up shows a good one.
Reproduce Kriegsmetall nowadays is a very hard call for the fakers, the zink pest is quite obvious here.
Would love to see the 3 of them in details.

Sorry folks, I can't get the pictures to load for some reason. I'll try again from another computer.

            regards, Robert

The bronze has some die cracking, but is not repaired and appears solid...

I didn't have any zink "no hole" types -

Thanks very much for the closeups.

                      I like them both

Robert what about the Gold stufe on the group picture?

It is the first one shown - it has a gold tone when shown next to a zinc grey bronze, but the gold doesn't show well in the photographs.

You can see the gold on the hinge, catch, and around the serpents in these images, but again, it looks more gold when contrasted with a bronze.
