    Bronze APB with severed pin

This badge is a zink type with the remnants of a broken pin. The catch plate, hinge, and pin remnant are magnetic.

    Is it an original?

    regards, Robert

The badge weighs 32 grams, and measures just over 5.8 with a width of 4.9.

The is obvious cracking at the two hole recesses.

I could be wrong, but this looks like the "goggle fake" to me.

              Regards,

                Hi Robert,

Its a tough one due to the condition, but I think it is fine. Looks to be a good Juncker, but with its hardware missing. There is also a lack of detail on the obverse, but I think that could be due to wear and its poor storage condition. If it is yours already, then I would recommend cleaning it up with some vaseline and see if the details will come out of it.

The goggles fake has more of a slender face IMO, so I don't think this is one of them IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks Daniel and Thomas, I appreciate you looking.

I own it, but can send it back. In hand, and next to my other ones, the detail and proportions look fine. I'll vaseline it and take better photos.

                  Regards, Robert

                    Hello Robert,
I agree with Tom on this one, it is a good Juncker.
The condition even with the missing hook and pin would make it a perfectly acceptable addition to your collection...it just adds to the history of the badge.

I always feel that there is an inherent defect in the pins of the Juncker badges at it is not uncommon to see them either repaired or like yours missing completely.

I have just posted a comment on another Juncker APB that looks to have had the pin repaired in virtually the same place your badge has lost his

                    All the best

I have to chime in and say good badge. The first pic of the reverse of this badge told ME it was a Juncker jmo.

While the details on the badge itself don't exactly jump out at one, the catch hinge itself sells me on it.
