    Hello John,

according to the GAB book from Frank Heukemes here the measures:

    GAB 75 maker JFS:

    height: 56 mm
    width: 48,9 mm
    weight: 40,7 gr

    GAB 50 maker RK

    h: 58,3
    w: 48,3
    weight: 36,5 gr

I personally do not like your posted GAB 75.... although on obverse it looks very good....the needle does not look ok for me. It looks as if there are "leftovers from production" starting from about the middle to the end of the needle, on the edges of the needle. I would expect a needle with an even, very smooth surface.

There was one interesting threat about GAb75 maker JFS not too long ago...there are GAB75 with "bigger" rivets and "smaller" rivrets.
maybe yout GAB belongs to the big rivet type and therefore the needle is ok
I have one GAB 75 myself, if interested send me a PM

    Martin

Here I added an images with the areas of the needle I was talking about, along the red lines you see the uneven edges of the needle

HI Martin, I see what you are saying about the pin, I am studying that with a loop and looking for my caliper.

Does anybody know if these have to have the little piece of metal inside the base of the pressed in area at the catch (that was there according to what I have read) to keep the catch from rotating?

              Hi Martin.

The GAB 75 we have seen before:

                HI Stengaard,

Thank you for that link, it is indeed the same one, I will contact the owner at the time and see what has happened with it after it left his hands as it is now here with me and I am trying to make a decision.

                      Hello John,

                      hello Stengaard,

I now saw the threat about the formerly mentioned GAB 75 which is supposed to be identical to the now discussed.

As mentioned in the former threat by Thomas Durante, the only "problem" is the pin, he named it kind of "sharper" edges of the pin.
Also I agree that the rest of the badge looks 100% original it would be up to you to wait for a one without that "needle issue" or get it at a maybe better price??

All the best & kind regards
                      Martin

EDIT: I now see the new images of the pin....and there can be seen the kind of uneven surface and the sharper edges. As the top of the pin does look very good ( close to the hinge and within the hinge) I also tend to say now it is only a little difference in the material or production of the pin!!

Piece is 100% original with the pin mounted upside down.
                        Kind regards,
                        Giel
