Does anyone know how many were actually awarded? Couldn't have been that many, maybe several thousand????

        Thanks in advance,
        Mike

          A good one IMO.

To compare, check this one: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=591158&page=3

I like the badge but the main pin looks strange (not textbook).

Possibly an original pin that was assembled "upside-down" as I don't see anything from the pics provided to indicate it has been messed with?

            Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

              Hi guys,

The badge looks good to me as well. Like Mike says, the pin is the only difference I can see from others I have seen or handled, the sides looks sharper rather than rounded. Not sure what to make of that difference, but the rest of the badge looks textbook, including the finish IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                Hi Mike

Good eye! That's what I also wanted to point out with the pin close ups of Frank. When one takes a look at post 3 of Michael you can clearly see that the pin has two sides, a rounded part and a more flatter bent inwards part. The pin was clearly mounted upside down. Better pictures would exclude all doubts though...
                Kind regards,
                Giel

                  Pin

                  Gentlemen,

                  Thank you for your comments.

I have included additional photographs although they are not that much better. I am hesitant on placing this for sale on the estand as long as there is no consensus.

                  Thanks,

                  MIKE

                        Hi Michael,

Thanks for the additional pictures, it still looks very good to me. For me, it is a fine original.

Saw the badge in Kassel, 100% original with pin upside down.
