I think the badge is OK, but the setup is replaced.

          Hello Michal,

for me a Staegemeir reproduction and not original.

          Regards,

          Daniel

I always laugh when I see the hardware on these. Definately a Hymmen (zinc based) IAB that probably had a wash finish that either absorbed completed into the badge or cleaned off many moons ago. --Rgds, Ken

It looks a Staegemeir to me too esspecially because of the set up.

                Hi Michal,

I too think it is very questionable. Looks like the crimps are there, but they are completely non-functional......a typical problem Staegemeir has with his fakes. Also the hardware itself looks weird, like Hans says.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Sorry, I now agree with Dan, Tom and Hans. It's a Stagamaier. If the "butt cracks" weren't so open, you'd be really hard pressed to tell the diff. --Rgds, Ken

                      Hi Michal

I agree a bad one. The texture just does not seem right, with what looks like pitting on the obverse in the eagle wing areas. Details in some areas are not sharp enough and the crimp areas are not what you would expect..along with the set up as already mentioned.

Unmarked solid Hymmen IABs, imo, are very hard to find, so it is interesting to see one has been copied, or maybe the maker mark just never made it.

Here is how the crimping should look

                      best regards
