I bought recently this silver CCC by Souval right out of my stomach. I hope I did not made a mistake. What do you think about this CCC. Is it perhabs repainted???

Please give me some opinions.

It's an original Souval but the back plate has been removed and replaced at some point, maybe to refinish the obverse? I can't tell if it's repainted from your photo. Try some acetone to see if it is modern paint.

When the clasp arrives, I will send better photos of the front. I try also then the aceton test.

Hello again!!

Now I have the clasp in hands. I worked the observe with acetone and nothing happened.

Pin, catch, backplate and hinge are all magnetic. The clasp is not bend.

Frank is right, it seems that the backplate was gone onetime, or souval pressed the backplate to hard into the clasp so it gets a deformation. Only a idea
