Another flatback PAB

I will throw some more red meat out here. This is something I got a few years ago off of ebay. It is 60mm high, 42mm wide at the tracks and about 3-4mm thick. I don’t have a scale to weigh it but it is heavier than some AS (triangle) PAB’s I have. I did send pictures to Detlev once and he didn’t see anything obviously wrong but it does look different from the one of Philippe’s.

These PAB's are generally accepted as old fakes. They feature the Aurich design, come unmarked but also marked with the AS in triangle mm. This one I just picked from a German dealer site. All his original PAB's are for sale between 175 and 210, this one you can have for 125. For sure they must know don't you think?

Another thing for new members to remember is the "scratchy" surface in the last pic. Whenever you see this strange kind of scratching on a badge, be very careful. These unnatural scratches (which are not like "natural scratches" at all if you develop an eye for it) are in my opinion caused by many of these badges crammed together in a sack or box.
It is not the "wide streak" of a natural scratch, these are scratches from something that was in constant touch with the badge (another badge of its kind e.g.), moving slightly while the crate, sack etc. was transported or lifted.
