            Jfs

I like the look of the JFS - I always think JFS CCC's look great (solid well made catches) and the condition of this one looks nice, a 'been there' look but not too 'been there'.....

I used to have an unissued Bronze JFS (from Carsten Baldes in the 90's), with the chocolate brown colour. Gorgeous piece and I regret letting it go now.....

The JFS in silver is definitely the most collectible of the three. FLL's and AGMUk's are very common.

              Regards,
              Frank

I agree with Frank & Paul regarding the JFS. Well made hardware and rarity give that one the edge over the FLL and AGM variants shown. However, if that was an earlier type one FLL in the same condition, I'd go with the FLL ( Just my taste). --Anyway, all three are in magnificent shape, and, as long as the price is right, great investments. --Best, Ken

                    Hi Craig,

The JFS is a good one.

The FLL also looks good, but may have a repainted backplate IMO.

The AGMuK is very questionable, and I am leaning toward it being a fake. Some better straight on shots of the obverse and reverse would be more helpful here. At a minimum, I think the catch and pin are replacements, and the backplate has been re-crimped in and messed with. Worst case, the entire clasp is fake.

                    Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I see what you what mean on the AGMUK piece Tom. The pin isn't correct for AGMUK and the "hill", that accomodates the catch seems somewhat flattened. All 4 crimps seem to have got re-hit, so possible plate replacement? I don't have access to Stagemaier, so it'll be interesting to see where this lands. A clear close-up 3/4 close-up shot of the catch area, and, a head-on shot of the front, as Tom stated, will tell a lot more. IF Tom's right on the AGM and the FLL, I'd be looking at that JFS more closely, especially on receipt, if you buy it now that is. --Ken
