The A.G. (Arbeitsgemeinschaft) is akin to a trade or labor union (Arbeit = work, Gemeinschaft = literally community). The number could denote lots of different things, even perhaps the same designation that unions have here (Sheetmetal Workers Union, Local #5 for example). It would be interesting to see if any archives exist in any current metal worker unions or groups in Gablonz that would cover the war years and give further detail on the meaning of the number.
