Panzer Assault Badge..."A.G.M.u.K. GABLONZ"

I have a question and you may know the answer, so here it is. Have you ever hear of a panzer badge from the firm "ArbeitGemeinschaft Metal und Kunstoff of Gablonz" using the mark "A.G.M.u.K. GABLONZ" ? I know they made Close combat clasps, but have never read any thing about a panzer badge from them. Very nice, solid, dished back, high detail, I will try to post a scan later. Thanks

Hello Chevelle,
This is the first time that I hear an AGMuK PAB would exist. Good scans from both obverse and reverse (with close up views) will be appreciated.

I too have never heard of this firm producing any PAB. This firm may well have produced a few "prototype" badges, as anyone with a Wehrmacht/Waffen SS contract for medals or badge could submit prototype badges for aproaval. This may be the case, but they never were a licensed firm for the PAB.

Thanks for the photo. I must admit that I am skeptical. Both "square boxes" at the respective basis of catch and hinge have already been seen on :
- CE Juncker PAB for the square box surrounding the catch,
- FLL and EWE PABs for the square box surounding the hinge (even though on these latter ones, the "box" is not as squared as on this AGMuK version).
I find especially strange the catch itself. IMHO, it is rarely seen. Maybe somebody else will be able to investigate into that direction.
On the reverse, the genral view seems to depicts "rough" casting traces (behind the svaz, just below the barrel). Can it be considered as being normal ? I wonder ?
The obverse seems OK at the first glance.
What about the pin itself ? Is it a bottle shape one or a needle type ?
As for the marking, I just waznt to say that spelling is OK and case sensitivity complies with standard AGMuK marking.

I do not like this AGMuK marked Panzer Badge at all. In the years that I have been collecting, I have never seen one like this before. The obverse looks to be of good quality and well-detailed, but the reverse is full of flaws. I really do not believe that AGMuK produced Panzer Assault badges during the war. It looks like this piece was produced from a mold or die that was used to make repro, umarked, Juncker-type Panzer Badges, and now the forgers are stamping the AGMuK logo into them. In the last few years, I have noticed more and more German Badges with the AGMuK logo stamped into them. Badges such as the Naval Blockade Runner Badge, the Naval Auxiliary Cruiser Badge, and some Luftwaffe Flight Qualification Badges. While some of the Luftwaffe Badges have looked ok to me, I have not liked any of the Naval Badges that I have seen. I do not believe that AGMuK manufactured Blockade Runner or Auxiliary Cruiser Badges, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know otherwise?

Hi Lorenzo,
That is one really nice Blockade Runner Badge. I never realized that AGMuK produced them. Did they produce any other naval badges? I noticed that your badge has the markings in relief, and not stamped as they are on the reproductions that I have seen.

I'm not sure of all that MuK made. I know they made the IAB, Blockade Runner and Luftwaffe Ground Combat badges. I think they also made a CCC and a Pilots badge, but I'm not sure. Any others?

hi lorenzo your badge has 4 in A.G. M.u.K 4 GABLONZ is that the year ? do you know if they put that in all there MM ? thanks rkoy the pab posted has good detail looks like same strike they ues to make the HA with the ball hinge any ideas?
