Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

    It's propably Hauptmünzamt München, but
    I don't know for sure.
There are some discussions on this forum, if you search for example words mk + iab.
Here is one such a thread:

I'd like to also know for sure if someone has solid facts about this manufacturer/who made these iab's.

HM within a triangle stands for Hauptmünzamt München.

            Dear Pieter,

I know that this mm is commonly refered to as Hauptmüntzamt München.

However as far as I was able to determine there is no proof what so ever that this indeed was the maker. In fact we're not even sure what the mm reads HM or KM.

For me it doesn't make any sense for a big organization like HMAMünchen to be involved in the production of a common badge like the IAB and to only use this very specific mark on just ONE badge.

Further taken in to account the fact that this IAB shares the same design as the IAB's marked AS in a triangle and also considering the fact that both mm have quite a lot in common it is my believe that this is the mark of an unknown maker that most likely worked as a sub-contractor for AS in a triangle (believed to be A. Sholze or A. Schwerdt.)

Don't ask me to proof this because I can't, but then again nobody (at least as far as I'm aware) ever was able to link this mm to HMAMünchen either.

....I will never ask for proof, I'm satisfied with your experience on these items.
