          Tom

Many thanks for posting those excellent scans and comparisons. The flaws in the mm I hadn't noticed and that pretty much nails it for me. Fascinating stuff.

            Hi Patrick

            Great thread.

I have a few thoughts but I am about to leave for a weekend break. Will catch up soon.

In the meantime, here is the full pic of the GAB, that Tom showed the maker mark of. So you can see the full set up and details of the badge.

            regards
            Graeme

Oh and here is a stamped maker mark from an FLL PAB.

Much deeper impression, like the mark on your badge.

                Have a good Easter

                regards

Thanks Guys, Graeme is the GAB die struck? looks like it may be made the same way as the flak as details on the front aren't that sharp. Thanks for posting that mm also- looks like another match!

I tentatively think that we can safely say that this badge is the wartime FLL, do we need to look again at the unmarked badge that was previously ascribed to this maker, itself only recently discovered?

                            Hi Patrick,

Nice find indeed. Looks very consistent with the 1st example; correct FLL hardware, same type of base metal, same lacquer, same maker mark, etc. Very believable and original IMO.

Thanks Guys, yes Tom finish is exactly the same as the other one just a little bit of wear to this example.
