Detlev Niemann has sometimes sold CCCs in bronze as Buntmetall CCCs. So how can that be, if only some golden ones are made of Buntmetall?

I think Detlev classifies very high quality Feinzink as "Buntmetall", which is not incorrect but an unusual definition in collector circles.
            Cheers, Frank

Either that or he is refering to the buntmetall pin

Seriously i think Frank is right about the Feinzink.

I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Getting back to the F&BL topic...

..., another characteristic of the genuine F&BL CCCs is that these clasps are the only ones featuring "cuts" going both ways to distinguish the endings of the of the moustache-shaped ornamentations. (In the pic below compared to a Juncker design.)

                  Interesting Mikael.

Found these flaws on my fake F&BL CCC´s ornamentation

                    Question regarding F&BL's CCC...

Did F&BL ever used fluted pins on their CCCs?

                      Fluted pin...

I have never seen a CCC by F&BL with a fluted pin. But, on the other hand, there are for example genuine FLL clasps with fluted pins - although most have the standard type, tapered pin. Do you have any pictures...?
