    Hi Öiwind.

I´ve never seen this before. If original, it presents a curious fact.
The points of the swords are pointing downwards, a sign of military
defeat. I´m aware of exceptions i.g. the swedish Order of the Sword
and a russian medal for participation in the battle of Port Arthur (or
    Vladivostok) against Japan.

Interesting! But if you try to search this forum for DRGM (markings on the badge), you will find German badges with this mark. It might be a German badge?!

      Thanks for the help

Of course you´re right . I got too focused on the swords-issue
and missed the essential. Hope some other member can enlighten
        us.

I think you may get more of a response to this one in the Imperial section.

          Kind regards,

I've been thinking about this one, the pin and hinge thing ! Looks almost TR, I wonder, could this be a 'tinnie' in realtion to a regiment or something concerned with WW1 ????

Looks like a post WWI infantry associations badge. I agree with Marcus. H, post it over at the Imperial section for a definitive answer.

Looks like a Weimar-era Infantry Regimental Association badge.
