How did you find this link?

yeah you are right about the differences compared to mine and yours!

I know it wouldnt be impossible for the document, so thats why I was asking about that. It could be that there was an award ceremony for the kompanie on the day these docs were issued. However, its weird that they are both hole-punched and being sold around the same time. Its not the sellers fault (the person I got it from), as I dont think he knew about this other link/doc group I found.

        Hello Bill,

I agree with the others that your Panzer Badge is a fake. However, your document looks completely original to me and it bears the signature of Obesrt Klaus von Heimendahl.

The document in the link you provided also looks completely original as well as that 'A.S.' marked Panzer Badge in the link.

        Best regards,
        Tom

Here are the pictures of the A.S. Panzer Badge from the link. This badge is completely original, IMO.

          Best regards,

I agree with Tom that the second A.S. in the link looks good.

I do not like the first AS posted. Tom D already mentioned the base metal, which stands out, however the hinge and pin are very good for a fake. I suspect that the catch on that one is off if we could see better pics..

            regards

I agree! The catch is a big "red flag" for that badge. IMO, this a fairly recent-made fake and they are starting to appear frequently in the market. There was one just like this on SVM Militaria recently. They are rather well-made but still fall way short if you have handled the real ones. Definitely a dangerous fake for newer collectors.

              Best regards,
              Tom

thanks again guys. And yeah, I had good feelings about the document from the start.....but am glad my gut made me post the badge. The 2 of the same documents appearing at the same time is certainly a coincindence, and Im sure doesnt happen too often.
Its too bad I cannot just keep the doc, but the seller wants both back

I have already packaged the badge up in a postal box, or else I would have taken an extra pic of the catch for reference....sorry

took it out of box for a couple reference shots of the catch/etc!

one thing I noticed is a flaw mark on the wing

and here is one more of the maker mark/rev
