Great early bird there Chris. Don't know what Graeme's taking about. Here's my favorite, a light-weight finishless Juncker...and not shiney at all.

Ken, I was implying that examples like Chris', that are not "mint with perfect finishes", look very originial and it is easy to feel comfortable with them.
Every now and again a badge will show up that looks brand new and it is not so easy to feel comfortable..and Ken I did not have any particular badge in mind.

A few years ago these were classed as rare. I do not believe that is the case and they show up more and more often..

        cheers
        Graeme

Graeme. I've had the good fortune/luck to be able to study 8 of them, in hand, since I went out on the prowl, a month before Christmas. All I have to say is that I have yet to see two NS Juncker IABs exactly alike. The one I just posted, IMO is the earliest example I have come across. Chris's example has the early "thin" C catch and "full" beak on the eagle, so he knows what to look for. IMO, the early ones shown are, bar none, the best types to find --and the rarest.

Here's a closer look at the thin "C" catch you'll find on an early/early Juncker IAB. Note that the eagle beak on this "worn" example (how could these not be?) --is full and complete. Even, in this worn state, the detail on this is better than most, if not all, you'll find with the "splayed" hinge.

Gorgeous example Chris, textbook early Juncker. Nice score

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
