I see some rather 'fat' acorns w/ possible crude cross hatching?
The rifle bolt and receiver are kind of crude.
The trigger and trigger guard are very sloppy.
Do these observations fit into the 'fake' equation?

A "Vienna Design" IAB with JFS and Mayer hardware. That's a 1st, but what a great idea! As nice a copy of this design I've seen. Still has the "missing leaf" though...

I got it from a dealer on a flea market in Wiesbaden on Sunday, I think, he had it on another market in Freiburg at Saturday.

I can return it, thats not the problem, but this fake is very well done, that concerns me.

yes I was in Freiburg at Saturday an I know this dealer well.I don´t know that he sell this set a second time.He know´s that the IAB and the packet are fakes....

I returned that bad one

and have a question for the maker of this one. (and if the catch is original to it).

The backside is IMO very characteristic because of the partiality hollow K98.

This looks to be a good Assmann

Check the centre of the rifle on the reverse to see if you can see any "A" maker mark. These are usually very hard to see.

Sometimes you can find these maker marked on the left side of the wreath and sometimes double marked.
