    Ostvolk ID question

I recently purchased what I believe to be an authentic cased 1st class in gold with swords (can't post pics).

In reading the other Ostvolk threads, it appears there are a couple of variants--those with a shallow dimple on the back and lozenge-shaped attachments at the base of the pin, vs. those with a distinctive sharp ridge and round shaped base (''base'' for lack of a better word). Mine is the latter variety. It has the correct pin for an ostvolk, as well as the miniscule bubbles

One of the postings mentioned the belief that on the 2nd class medals, the Souvals can be identified by the sharp scallop--maybe this is true with the 1st class(?)

Another feature on mine that I've noticed is that there are markings stamped in the cardboard underside of the slotted insert inside the case--'621 KB' (the 'B' is possibly an 'R'). Mine can be teased out as it isn't glued in. I also noticed that behind the white cushion, inside the lid is penciled '43'. Caution: That part is glued--mine was slightly loose so I peeked.
    Anyone have marked inserts?
