      I also owned a badge like the second one posted by Frank! Rusted hinge, "MH" scratched, bought it on 2002 at a know and respected site and sold it last year privately. Never thought it could be a fake.

      Looking the big obverse picture of the second one you can see a "crack" just where the swas meets the turret. I´m sure the badge once owned by me has the same feature. Lorenzo´s picture is small but it may be there also.

        Wow, this is really an eye opener! Thanks, Frank, for posting the fakes. The one that Detlev originally said was fake (that most of us thought was good) really looks poor in the better scans.

              Totally missed this thread somehow.
              Excellent detective work and research from all involved. These copies may be getting better but as long as we stick togeather and communicate I´m sure we can identify them.
