    Bronze Scooped-back PAB Unmarked

    Hi,

This is a bronze PAB with a scooped back acquired in the 70's . There is no maker's mark on the back. Weighs 30 gms, 60mm x 42mm. The metal is more of a mat grey. It feels good but I would be grateful for some some feedback regarding the authenticity. Thanks in advance.

    Cheers,
    John (tudorw)

That's an unmarked Frank&Reif, completely original
    Kind regards,

I can only agree with Giel, an unmarked Frank & Reif.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I stated at the time of posting in 2011 that this PAB was bronze. I now would like your opinion whether this would be a bronze PAB or a silver PAB - the metal is a matte grey, solid, weighty but I do not know its actual composition. Is it zinc ? Has the original coating worn off or did the badge present like this . Many thanksin advance, once again! Cheers, John.

Its a bronze grade, there is still finish on the hinge, catchplate and pin but not really on the badge anymore, not uncommon for zink based badges like this.
