This is not one and the same badge imo. The first one shown is the so called "toucan" fake, the second one looks like the back of a good FLL.

I think Daniel is spot-on here, the obverse shot is a typical toucan fake. But the reverse shot looks to be from a good FLL PAB.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks, I agree we are looking at two different badges. Here are the photos of actual PAB. I think that is a good one and original badge.

Why didnĀ“t you post the original pictures in the first place?!

first posted images are from the auction site. Soon thereafter, I contacted the seller and he sent me pictures that I have posted.

                Hi Remick,

Thanks for the additional pics. The closeups of the hinge and especially the catch reveal this is a Staegemeir fake IMO>

                  Hi Remick

There certainly appear issues with this badge as mentioned.

Also note that the obverse looks to lack detail, and it may be the case that the tension hook does not actually touch where the mark for the tension hook actually is. A side shot of the hinge area is really needed to confirm that.

The pin and catch are not typical for this FLL marked variant.

It might be interesting to find weight and dimensions.

                  regards
                  Graeme
