Very nice zinc hollow second pattern daisy's and for sure not made in Pakistan.

The badges you show are in fact the last setup variant used buy this unknown maker that only produced hollow PAB's.

The bronze hollow zinkers are quite commonly found but that for sure isn't the case with good silver grades. Most are very worn. Even rarer and certainly one of the most difficult PAB's to find is the buntmetal variant. Untill now I'm still in doubt if a silver buntmetall variant did exist.

Here is the set-up evolution on these badges, with the exception of the last variant featured on your beauties.

From let to right

1.Hollow buntmetall with blockhinge and soldered catch
2.Hollow zinker with very uncommon (transitional catch system and flimsy pin) but still with soldered catch directly to the badge
3.Hollow zinker with bockhinge soldered directly to the badge but with roundwire catch on fairly large round hinge plate.
4.Hollow zinker with large rectangular hinge baseplate, little blockhinge and flatwire catch on a small round baseplate (identical to the one used on your badges)

Okay, now I am confused, but then again, I'm sure I missed some threads.

1) I thought daisy when I saw the backs, but I see no daisy on the front, are the pics just too far away?
2) What are you 2 talking about regarding "pakistani"?

Don't worry, they are there but on this variant they are much less pronounced then on the first pattern and most of the time better visible from the reverse then from the obverse.

And if I'm not mistaken I think I read an article in a newspaper stating that the number one export product in Pakistan at the moment are copies of III Reich combat badges. I think they also covered that on CNN, did you miss it?
