      Hi Ed,

Really don't like that CCC. For me the backplate that is much to small in combination with completely unfunctional crimps makes this one unacceptable.

        Hi Ed,

That is a poor copy of a gold CCC. The gold wash or plating is completely wrong. I agree with Philippe on the small backplate. These are typically a good fit. The detailing on the front is also a giveaway (no details on the veins of the oakleaves). The obverse details are also not typical of AGMuKs. Catch area is also poorly defined and would never hold up under actual wear.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          Agree with Phil and Tom,

especially the badly fitting backplate, also not to keen on the poorly defined cutouts on the obverse and the soft looking edges on the reverse. I think it could be a casting.
There is actually an authentic variation of the CCC that this is based on. It also features the 4 crimps, cast in hinge, crimped hook and fluted pin. The detail and finish is a lot better though.

            CCC in Gold

Thank you gentlemen. The item is on ePier with another that is in a case. The cased CCC starts around$1000.00 & the one without a case $500.00. There is also Honor roll clasps which also are copies I believe. Again you guys have helped a member in need. One has to realize these rare items do not go for a song.

            Thanks again Ed
