Hello, Thanks for the reply and help. I do not have it in hand yet so I am not sure.
I read most all of the various threads on TDBs and saw that most were magnetic, but some were not, correct?

To me the back especially looks perfect and the front looks good to when compared to the known original examples posted here in the past.

If you don't know if the Tank is magnetic or not, MO save your money until you find one that is. I'd pass

Hello, OK, is there a rule of thumb on the magnetic tanks? I mean which ones were and which ones were not? Unless I mis-read some of the precious postings on TDBs not all were magnetic.

Ja, just found out it is magnetic and it does come with a money back gaurantee.
Opinions still wanted and very valued.
I have always wanted one of these , but dont want to throw away my money either on a not so cheap badge.

I'm not sure on this one. The tank detail just isn't as crisp as I'd like it to be. The Barrel, rear fender, headlight, turret side vision port, all look "Off" to me.

Agree with Heinrich it is a good one (type 1) but based on this picture it looks as if the tank has some silver paint residu on it meaning it has been messed with.

Anyway still an original worn item - lacking a backing cloth unfortunately.

I'd take Mr. Breyette's advice to heart and pass. They are not cheap, but not impossible to find and who knows, you'll probably land a good one with a nice finish somewhere -including Ebay. --Good hunting.

As the others have said it looks to be a good type 1 without the backing. There appears to be a silver finish over the tank which is kind of distorting the photos a bit and makeing the detail less pronounced. I wouldn't mind seeing it with out that silver paint on it...

It also seems like the rear fender has been bent inward...
