Going through my patches.. Are there any Edelweiss experts out there?

First one is a HQ section of the now disbanded Bundeswehr 1st Gebirgsjager Division
Second one is a very nice original Gebirgsjager patch

The 1st not WWII and the 2nd looks unissued. The bevo type was widely used and has several variations. Many soldiers never bothered to wear them.

...the 2nd one you show is not the Bevo type, probably later issue and in unworn condition.

Thank you Phil and Paznercracker! I appreciate the speedy response! Sounds good.. They are both real but one is post world war II and the one on the right is genuine unissued...
