Juncker NS Type 2 or Buntymetal?

Hi all. Just received this one in the mail. Possible plated brass type, as there appears to be vert-de-gris developing on the front and just slightly on the back. Can't say for sure if this is nickel silver or the buntmetall type, but weighs precisely 15.4 grams. Appears to have a fair bit of that "powdered" frosting in the recesses. I will not clean it, as you guys know I like them a little "tatty". Anyway, comments welcome and hope you like...

          Hi Ken,

it looks like NS to me, NS has a higher copper part, so this verdigris is imo not a sign that this is a tombak example. Anyway, these are one of the nicest badges around.

          Regards,

          Daniel

It was there one second and gone the next! Looked a lot like that 75 GAB in the most recent thread. I wasn't sure, but it started at .99! Damn it, maybe that's the one?

I always thought they kicked that stuff off pretty quick? I know they allow SS Skulls since there isnt a swaz but I never thought to check for other stuff.

It's all in the "prospective" buyer's approach Chris. These things do not stay on ebay long. Many lot of sellers do not know their price and some simply do not care. I have to say that I wasn't sure about that 75 GAB either, but may the best man win...

Luck helps too. You never know who you might be dealing with. Ebay doesn't protect you on "outside" transactions as you may well know...

I'm even more smitten about this type 2 than I was with the type 1 I has 10yrs ago. It's a little thinner and a little cooler. Hard to describe without an "in hand". Thanks for all the feedback. I really wish I had Dan's 'tise on the high end badges because, if I knew for sure, that 75 GAB would probably be here in a couple weeks...
