Since badges haven't been going my way lately, I figured I would make sure this one checks out before kicking it loose. Not the best pictures and if any additional angles are needed, just let me know. Thanks!

This is a tough one, but I tend to agree with Teacher that this is a reproduction. I specifically don't like the look of the pin and hinge, in addition to the catch. Also looks a bit soft on the reverse edges and the material and finish looks weird to me. If it is ground dug, it might explain some of the weird look to the finish, but the hinge and pin are the biggest concerns I have with this one.
Dave, can you show some addition closesups of the hinge with the pin open?
Thanks
TomIf it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a littleNew Book - The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II

One last example. The finish really doesn't come out well in the photos. The silver is reasonable and the back is not flat, rather concave/dished.
