Question about PAB seven wheeler swas cut out bronze

I can buy this nice PAB in zinc, first pattern seven wheeler. The pic are not that good from the front but I have no doubts that its an original piece.

But the catch looks repaired, I only know other types of catches for those PAS in typical ?-Form and not a C-Catch and I only know a really good quality of soldering the catch.. this looks like a reapair.

What do you think?

Was this badge also refinished on the front or are the pics throwing me off.
Great finish to the front, but the back is blackened with dirt?

No, that is only because of the Photos ( light etc) Badge Looks identical from Front and rear.
