...I get it now. Those well made fakes exist for those who've gone beyond point break and say "F__k - _t! May as well go for the fake...

Aside from the crimped hardware, flat backed design, which has been often found in Gottleib & Wagner packets I would say this about all the unmarked Oberstein designed IAB's at least until more substancial proof can be found. It's pure speculation until then. One thing they all have in common though is that they are very well made and one of the nicest and consistant in quality designs you will find. IMHO that is.

Unfortunately, I've been around the block (as I'm sure you have) and have narrowed my favorite designs as follows:
        1) Vienna hollow zinc
        2) Wiedmann bronze (late thin neck) with the olive bronze finish (lily hinge)
        3) Juncker (nickel) --hopefully with an intact beak
        4) "Heubach Design" steel (5 stem)

I like NS Juncker and "Huebach"as you refer to it. Early FLL and injection mold Assmann. Gwl's are nice too if you can find a real one.
The ones I hate are hymenn and the S&h or (bozo nose IAB) so ugly and no detail. I will never have those two in my collection. I'm not even sure I'd take them if given to me.

Yup. That early GWL is a killer! Probably my favorite...
