Hi Guys,

I can only agree. However it's interesting to know that this Frank & Reif marked fake is in fact based upon the so calles S&L design and that it comes in many forms made out of good materials with very convincing finishes

These are the variants I have seen untill now:

Frank & Reif marked solid
unmarked solid
Hollow buntmetall with convincing block hinge set-up

These 3 variants exist both in different Silver and Bronze finishing types, down to a mat silver version with polished highlights. Certainly this last version is very dangerous when you didn't do your home work.

Best give aways are the eagles head (not F&R and not S&L) and the flattened coaxial machine gun position.

PS: almost forgot, just last week I even saw a silver hollow variant with cut-out grass area

Yep that's an exotic variant I forgot, makes you wonder with what they will come up next doesn't it .

On these straight on pics you post the shortcommings of these fakes are obvious. However if they are presented in an angled shot they all of a sudden look much more convincing. Here are two examples
