    Bronze PAB Identification

    Well I posted this one up a few weeks ago but had limited pictures to post . I now have it in hand and hope that maybe someone can ID the maker ?
    Measures approx. 42.5 x 60.9 . weighs in at 28.8 grams .Thanks.

            I believe that is a good so-called Juncker. But let's hear from others, just in case

                Hi Craig,

                nice original PAB in really good condition,the maker is still unknown,often called Juncker or S&L by collectors because of hardware, but no evidence has been found yet.

                    Hi Craig,

                    I agree with the others, a very nice original with some great bronze finish left.

                    As to the maker, I don't know if Juncker is still a viable candidate since we already know of solid-back, zinc Juncker PABs. Ofcourse they could have changed up their design (like they did with their IABs IMO), but I don't know of any evidence that specifically points directly to Juncker at this point.

                    I also think S&L is out of the picture since we already have a clear progression of production from early, hollow back tombak examples to solid-back zinc badges using the same S&L design. We know of several very late, lower-quality kriegsmetal S&L variants, so that suggests that S&L used the same design until the end of the war.

                    This is one of the few badges that still remain quite a bit of a mystery as to the true maker IMO.
