Just picked this up looks ok to me but would welcome any opinions. The hinge pin and hook have been removed quite neatly if its real it may have been sewn onto a tunic. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I just got bit by a GWL, so I am not certain on these anymore.
Rik may be 100% correct and I hope he is, but I just don't know anymore. It does look nice and worn though. The fakes of these are just about identical to the wartime badges with the hardware being what sets them apart, and since yours is missing hardware, for me, it is really hard to tell. I'm sure one of the experts will chime in sooner or later. I might just be over cautious/skeptical as the bite is still very fresh. I sure hope yours turns out to be good though.
