    Hi Ray,
This isn't a private conversation your questions are welcomed, but I wouldn't be able to answer that for you. Do you mean cut out? I know there is one that has this, but not sure what maker did this, maybe Tom or Graeme could answer that for us. I would like to know as well.

      Hi Ray,
I found a thread. It is a hollow backed GWL with cut out swas.
Beautiful badge, this one is on the list for sure.

        Hi Ray,

Yes, the very rare early hollow-back GWL IABs do have a cutout swastika. Here is one from Andreas' excellent collection.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

          ALCON:

Thanks for your time, resources, and the expedient replies regarding the cutout IAB's. For some reason I assumed that all the GWL's were cut outs. This now clarifies that speculation with me that was partially based on a GWL sub badge in my collection. Their appearance is definitly set apart.

Beautiful illustration posted in the previous post. I would'nt mind comming across one of these examples in the future if they could be found.

          Thanks again for the guidance.

            Hi Ray,

You may be thinking of the GWL GABs, these are always cut out as far as I know.

Unlucky? I guess it depends how you look at it, I did get a refund, and an education worth it's weight in IAB's. I would say I'm better off than most in this situation. I hope Dave C. can get his money back as well.

On condition and finish to help with authenticity, I hear what you are saying my friend, but I strive to find these pieces in as close to mint as possible so I guess I kinda set myself up. I can't help but love the minty ones, it's a sickness I have. That being said I have, in searching the forum, seen some fakes that were worn as well, I should just stay away from GWL's, but now it's personal

              Thanks
              Dave
              Dave,

I have to tell you that Scott got all the mint badges.
