Just got this in from a dealer with COA from Detlev. A very nice late unmarked CCC with approx 95% of the silver finish intact. Along with the AGMuk I think this unknown maker has probably the best obverse design. Note the way the eagle's talon curls down on to the swaz.
Has a fluted pin on the back. Curiously enough it appears that only the front of this badge ever received a finish, the back is grey zinc. There was also a dark wash applied over the silver which shows traces of overlapping on the back, there are also two drops of this coating evident on the pin.
Not easy to find these in such excellent condition and I am extremely pleased with this item!
The pics are from the dealer so I hope he doesn't mind my borrowing them, my digicam is out of batteries!
