GAB with small W in a box??

Hello, I know that this type of badge has been discussed a little before. I would like to reopen this issue to see if there is any new information out there. Maybe we can figure out the maker of this badge, who knows? I have also included some other pictures to compare it to.
    Thanks,
    Eric

The badge on the left is the one the thread started with and the one the right is a Wurster. I know the front is not the same, but the back is almost a complete match.

Looking at the back you can see that they are very similar. Please feel free to make comments.

It is the first one I have seen...although I do remember seeing a small "w" not in a box on a war badge up towards the hinge. The hinge plate is not something that I have seen before, but I really see nothing that bothers me looking at the piece.

              John,

I think you are refering to the Wurster Badge which is the second GAB pictured in this thread. Here is a closeup of that mark.

Very interesting Eric, also a first for me. I think they are quite different, also from the reverse. So different I would almost think of a different maker.
                  Cheers, Frank

Frank, I blieve that the small w in a box is a different maker. I was wondering if anyone knew who? The badge looks 100% original to me. Hopefully, we can get a little more input.

Very interesting and a first for me also. Looks utterly believable, if I saw one I would buy it.

I may never know the maker but I know it's good. Maybe some day I will.

Sorry, I had to revise my response since I made a few mistakes.
