The SoS will for sure be better...hopefully!

      See ya,

It is really simple why there is no public.

The people who run the show will not advertise to the public.

I think they prefer a dealer to dealer show with some collectors.

I did not go to this show this time, and will not, until they decide to do enough advertising to bring in the public... after all, that is where all this stuff comes from in the beginning.

Sales are slow in a major recession? Drop prices!

Another big thing for me and a large group I travel with is the cost of getting to the the show. It is way to far from the airport and a cab will cost you a fortune. Than you are stuck at the hotel with no car and nothing to do because there aren't many resturants or bars around. By the time you add a rental car and hotel you are down $800. before you even get in the door! If guys are out of town for a few days they like to go to a resturant and see their friends after the show. Many of the hotel bars close early and the guys dont have an easy way to get togeather. Put the show back in Indianapolis by the airport where people can actually get to it. You will have more collectors drive from the west and from the Chicago area where collecting still has a strong following. I know at least 10 guys (These are cash spending collectors and not dealers) personally that would love to go to the show if it was not so expensive to travel to. Many people would also drive to the show and back home in the same day if it was centrally located. Most of the reason we even go to the show is to hang with our friends from around the world and try to find the holy grail of the 3rd reich on someones table. Dealers have to put up with this if they want to sell their large inventories, customers don't. Tom, Ill see you at the SOS!
