      Hi Tony,

Very nice example of what is believed to be an Deumer (L/11) IAB. With the emphasis on "believed" to be. I only ever saw one mm example in Ivan's collection. See this thread:

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ght=Deumer+IAB

However recently I encountered an IAB in it's original envelope comming from a very reliable source. The envelope was marked for Deumer but the IAB was something completely different. A commonly encountered type that never comes marked.

Taken in to account that we only know of one mm. L/11 IAB and that we just found a G.B luftflak also marked with L/11 im not really sure that Deumer was the maker of these IAB's.

How common is the bronze with this setup? Until recently I had not recalled seeing any. Just within the last 2 months, I've seen 3 that are in outstanding condition. Is this badge owned by you or someone else? If someone else, is it a large dealer?

          Harry,
I've seen maybe three in the last couple of years. They are all pretty much in the same condition as the one posted. I have the silver version also and it is in excellent condition much as my bronze one is. I think that this type of IAB held it's finish quite well.

            Philippe,

I think you are right on with this badge. The hinge, pin, and catch appear to be identical. Thank you very much the help and your kind compliments. This badge came from another trusted collector, and not from a dealer. So I'm very comfortable with the badge and happy to be the owner. Thanks to everyone else for the help!

I have one of these too, which I got off the Estand from Yuri.

It's a very nice looking badge with a great finish.

                Chris,

Nice looking badge! Looks like these two came from the same family.

                Take care,
                Tony
