    Tank Destruction Badge and Doc

Surfing Ebay and saw this! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Very-RARE-ge...item3cbc40f67f

Seller with no feedback too. Wonder how many bidders will be willing to throw down $$ for this lot.

    Thanks,
    Mike

So far, 4 people. Although atleast one of them could be an alternate account of his to get the ball rolling.

Just looking at his one image, my assessment is it is not a good one.

        Hello Mike,

I spotted that one yesterday on ebay. Isn't it pathetic? Check out my thread here and you can vote on the most pathetic document.

Also, this seller just set up a new ebay account. He has sold other (mostly SS document fakes) with a different user name. But it is the same guy. He claims that the stuff came from his deceased grandfather and he is not sure if everything is real. The reality is: nothing that he sells is real.

          Best regards,
          Tom

Mike, I am not versed on this to know... I look forward to what others will say.

However- My two cents.. just based on deductive reasoning and not pics of the items is that this strikes me as suspicious.

The gentleman states that he is not familiar with these items...
"I'm selling here the stuff from the collection of my dead grandfather. I am familiar with such things from at all and can not really say exactly whether it's all things are real or not."

However, his EBAY USER ID IS panzer-kampf..

With a name like that wouldn't you suspect he knows something about these things? It seems he is almost saying "buy as is" because I do not state this is real...

Also all of the names on the different documents have different names... This guy is in Germany and perhaps his Grandfather saved different award medals from his buddies but I am just suspect... thats all.. again, not saying its all junk but just what my sidewalk smarts is telling me.... I can't wait to see what the forum says...

              Thank you, Scott

he also lists this "erwin rommel" coin as very rare.... If he knows nothing on this stuff how would he know if its very rare?

I have the same coin I got for a few bucks at a gun show..

Too bad some buyer will lose money. Always disappointing to see a scam artist at work.

                    Well......

                    ......Tom is correct.
The reality is: nothing that he sells is real.
. I feel that perhaps unsuspecting, and unlearned bidders are enthralled because this crook lists Germany as his home location.

Yeah Bruce and the whole innocent aspect of "this was my grandfathers"

kind of gives impression of authenticness.... kind of like saying, "found in box buriend in my back yard. I believe the Reichstag was near where I now live." lol...

Hello... no sure if anyone has been keeping up w/ these auctions but this went for $130.00!!!

The Rommel coin I mentioned above went for $45.00

I do not believe there is a way for me to see what the other items went for... anyone have record? This guy made some good money selling this stuff though...
